Hell, you don't even have to be a startup, you just have to say it to eliminate the competition that *has* what you promise and fail to deliver on. *coughMicrosoftcough*This is a serious issue with enormous ramifications. Quite honestly, if you told me I *had* to pay $40k, in CASH, or own a "brick" that you have to keep paying on, I'd yank that bullshit EV system and fill it with a *real* Lotus engine and throw the EV shit through your window. (with a dump truck) I think it's even scarier that yet again, the gov't is funding something they are able to trigger tracking on you for. Imagine, like the article says, they can REMOTELY RETRIEVE *all* data about your vehicle, including GPS at the push of a button and don't need your permission. (They triggered GPS and dispatched technicians to where someone had their Tesla stored without the owner's consent.) What credentials did the techs have when they showed up where his vehicle was at and said "We work at Tesla, we need access to your vehicle immediately? Socialist country my ass. This place has been headed on a spiral to a privacy-less society for over 10 years now.
